re:Kate (Cosmetic Manager -Vernon BC)
I was in the Shoppers Drug Mart In Vernon. Kate gave me terrific customer service. She was patient, friendly and knowledgeable with my foundation and bronzer questions. She offered practical tips and suggestions how to apply and use my new make up products. I give BEAUTIFUL Kate a 100% !!!!
shoppers Drag mart, this buds for you.
Not a nice work environment. Manager is not helpful with new employees. Would rather see someone who is learning struggle and fail, and then complain about them after the fact, instead of correcting the behavior/mistake at the time it occurred. Targets employees and cuts shifts instead of allowing new employees to correct their errors. Sends out rude and very unprofessional messages in group chats about things not being done properly (once again instead of addressing them on site) and talking about possible problem customers in a very demeaning and unprofessional way, calling them "crack heads" etc.
Overall not a positive and encouraging place to work especially for a young person who has never worked in the industry before. I feel many of these "managers" were rolled into these positions after working there for so many years, without any actual management training on how to actually manage employees effectively. They quickly forget what it was like to be new and continue the trend of toxic mean-girl behaviors. Would not recommend Shoppers as place for any young person to work (or even older if new to the industry) at least not in my town.
Im fed up with the Shoppers at 2301 Kingston Rd, Scarborough, ON M1N 1V1. The pharmacy is the worst in the city. Call at 730 to see if my prescription is ready, some girl who barely speaks English replys “yes sir,30 mins will be ready in a Indian accent which you can barely understand. I go ok great, give them 40-45 mins because i get lied to every time I call. So I figured it would be ready but to my surprise what do you know not ready. Then the knob behind the counter says 15 minutes, cant wait don’t have time as the lineup starts to fill up. I basically could’ve went to the back of the line and probably would’ve been 15 mins. Im sick and tired of the unorganized operation they are running over there. I would like my prescription filled at Rexall one block over. So for this reason and that alone i will try to avoid shoppers at all costs. If I could give it the poo emoji for a review I would. Even know this will not be delt with or changed im DONE. Place is a dump,
I am from the US and was incredibly impressed with the help I recieved at the: 1151 10th Ave SW, Unit #101
Salmon Arm, BC
I had a stroke and are recovering, effecting my balance and walking. I felt no judgement, was given offered help, and Sherri in beauty, was amazing!
She was able to help find what I needed, had excellent customer service, and I hope she gets recognized for her great work ethic, product knowledge and friendly personality. Sherri you rock!
I would like to recognize the staff at the Kenora Ontario Shoppers Drug Mart store. The staff was very helpful and courtesy....thank you for photo copying the documents i needed. Thanks once again ladies!
They consistently 'mess up' the one and only script I have. APOTEX brand zopiclone. They tried to give some knock off brand and I had an allergic reaction. No apology, nothing but making me wait to give me what I asked for. It is is in my file allergy to anything, BUT apotex brand. They give me another brand. Shoppers Drug mart is giving counterfeit pills.
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the services provided by Shoppers Drug Mart, particularly with regard to a recent purchase I made.
On July 23, 2023, I visited one of your stores and purchased a prepaid MasterCard. However, upon attempting to use the card, it did not register in the system. Concerned about the issue, I immediately returned to the store to seek assistance. The staff at the store assured me that everything was fine on their end, and the card should be working correctly.
Despite their assurances, I still encountered problems while trying to use the card. To resolve the matter, I contacted Master Card's customer support, and they informed me that the funds were not available on the card and that Shoppers Drug Mart needed to activate it. Frustrated with the situation, I made my way back to the store to address the issue with the manager.
The store manager explained that the system had suspended the amount and that I would have to wait for 24 hours before the card would become active. This experience has been immensely frustrating for me as I run a small online business. Due to the unreliable activation process of the prepaid card, I lost a good number of hours of valuable time that could have been spent productively, purchasing items for my business to resell.
As a loyal customer, I had expected a smooth and efficient experience while making a purchase at Shoppers Drug Mart. However, this unfortunate incident has left me completely dissatisfied with the level of service provided. The lack of coordination between Shoppers Drug Mart and Master Card's customer support has resulted in significant inconvenience and financial loss for me.
At the time of typing this, it has been more than 24 hours since the purchase, but still, the system shows that I am unable to register the card.
Just because of your system, I have lost a good amount of working hours.
I called Customer Service to ask that a $10 Bonus Card be reissued to me because the expiry date had passed. I was told that because the date of expiry was a week or 2 past, Shoppers could not validate it. I explained that I overlooked spending it on the date, I am 83 years old, shopped faithfully at their store during Covid because I was treated so well as a senior, and now this happens. I cannot understand why I as a loyal customer I have been treated as just another complainer.
As a fellow business owner...don't bother trying to get in touch with anyone at their headquarters unless you enjoy going around in circles. Absolutely no way to get in touch with headquarters for business purposes. Only if you want a job with them do they provide contact information. Who would????
