UPS THE WORST SERVICE!!!!! The reviews speak for themselves and the corporate office does nothing to make it better for the customers that are keeping their pockets full. We should boycott UPS and someone needs to start another courier company that provides the service and respect a customer deserves. SOCIAL MEDIA is the way to go to get the word out. DISGRACEFUL COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!
I am a 70-year-old widow, with mobility problems and I can't pick up and carry large parcels. My gate is ½ km from my house & numerous very luck trucks etc. have driven down with no problems. A 20’ steel container was delivered without a problem because my driveway is perfectly safe & there is a very large parking area for turning around. I have lived at the same address since 2010 and have received numerous Costco/UPS deliveries to my house until January 2023 when UPS now leaves my packages at my gate, with exception of 1 delivery in the summer when a dock from Costco was brought down my ½ km driveway to my house. I have called & spoken to numerous UPS representatives, some very helpful, others not so, and to date they are still not delivering to my house. UPS is the only courier service that won’t deliver to my house even after numerous promises they would rectify this. I received a parcel 5 days ago that required a signature. It was delivered to my gate WITH NO SIGNATURE but the driver noted it was signed by me. Not only did they lie, if the forged my signature, it is a criminal offense. This parcel weighs 48 lbs & is more than 30” wide. Very large & way too heavy for me to lift & expensive. I was promised at least twice UPS would send someone to pick it at my gate & deliver to my house. 5 days later it’s still there along with my very large Costco order. OBVIOUSLY UPS DOESN’T CARE.
I ordered a parcel from amazon and it was shipped February 15th last month. Somewhere in UPS Calgary warehouse it gets lost. I file an investigation and after about 5 days they say its on its way and will be delivered last Friday February 15th. I guess I was hopeful . Then I receive an update saying the driver needs building access code to deliver package. I live at 1XXX Deerpark drive in Winnipeg a single family home with no fence or gate??? (you can easily google it to confirm) As well I have three cameras out front and not one UPS vehicle went by that day... So I call the ups number and said they would send in the information to the Winnipeg station and someone would confirm with me the information. I waited and I waited an no one called. So I called back again and spoke to a young lady who said she had no record of me having called earlier but she insisted she would send the information on and they would certainly call me.... Once again nothing. So I logged on and change the parcel to be dropped off at a UPS access point. It appears the parcel is still Floating around the UPS warehouse.
Wow its been over two weeks and not one person has even tried to contact me. Extremely poor service. I would be ashamed i I worked for UPS.
I am going to send a copy of this letter to UPS corporate offices in Mississauga and ask for a response as now one else is.

On April 27 I flew from Vancouver BC San Jose Costa Rica. With all the problems with the pandemic and having to arrange a last minute covid-19 exam I misplaced a small bag that contained my cell fone and some medicines. When I went to board the plane I noticed that I did not have this small bag. It was too late to search for it so I had to board the flight.
Two days later I received an email from Vancouver airport that my bag I had been found.
A friend of mine went to the airport and retrieved the bag and on May 3 took it the UPS Store 146 on Granville to have the items couriered to me in Costa Rica,
UPS accepted the parcel and never gave my friend any indication there could be problems with customs etc. The agent said the parcel would arrive in Costa Rica by May 9. And it did according to my tracking number.
I waited a few days and never heard from UPS. I finally called their office and they said I needed to fill out forms and return them to their office. Rather than take a chance on filling these forms incorrectly as they were in Spanish I took a taxi to the UPS office and filled the forms out there with the help of their staff.
Waited a few more days and no word from UPS. I called the UPS office and asked for Daniel who helped me fill out the forms. Now Daniel said customs wanted a doctors note to release the parcel.
I contacted my doctor in Vancouver and he was reluctant to send a prescription form for the medicine but he relented and sent the data required to Costa Rica with all information relating to the medicine.
Again I waited for a few days and never heard from UPS. I call and again asked for Daniel and now he said I had to fill out forms for customs relating to cost etc of the items in my parcel.
Again I went to the UPS office and Daniel assisted me In filling out the necessary forms. Which I signed and was told there would be duty owing on the items when they were released from customs. I said no problem I just wanted my medicine.
I waited a week and called the UPS office and asked for Daniel. He said he had not heard back from customs and their Representative in customs was taking care of it.
I was leaving Costa Rica On June 17 and told Daniel this. I wanted the items before I left for Canada.
More days go by and no word from Daniel. I called on June 16 and told Daniel I was leaving for Canada the following day and as he had not heard back from customs at this point,I said return the items to Canada.
On returning to Canada I called UPS store 146 and explained my problem. The person I talked to said to have the parcel returned would be 500.00 dollars. I said are you serious .,UPS did not deliver the parcel and I am now back in Canada. While I was in Costa Rica I did everything UPS asked of me.
UPS now had had the parcel for 6 weeks.
The agent suggested I call customer service f I was unwilling to pay the return charges. I did call
The agent whose name was Alfred listened to my story and said no problem he would ensure the package will be returned. That was a June 18
I waited several days and called UPS customer Service again and this time got agent Joanie. She sympathized with my predicament and said her dispatcher would ensure I received my parcel with no additional charges. The only thing that I had to do was call UPS store 146 and have them initiate the service. I said that store 146 wants additional money. She said not to worry tell store 146 to initiate the claim and Joanie would take over from there.
After waiting another 10 days I called again this morning July 11, I called UPS customer service and was told my parcel was still in Costa Rica and the only way to have it returned was to deal through UPS store 146. I explained to this agent all I had been through and told him my problems with UPS store 146 and wanting money to return the parcel that UPS never delivered, The agent was unsympathetic and said there were no avenues open for me other than calling Store 146.
I called and the agent told me I had to pay duties before they would request the parcel to be returned.
I was in no way willing to pay for any more of UPS services.,customs or otherwise. The parcel never entered Costa Rica as customs never released it. So I can see no logical reason why I would pay duties at this point,
I am very frustrated with the UPS customer service system. Each time I called I got a completely new and invented story, is it UPS or is it UPS store 146 that is unresponsive to my ordeal. Yep ten weeks of no help or help to resolve the problem.
I was at store 146 today. That is the UPS store on Granville street in Vancouver.
A third of their front window has been broken and replaced with cardboard. Neighbouring shops to this store 146 told me that the windows were broken three months ago and UPS has never bothered to replace the windows. Instead they leave this old cardboard which is an eyesore for a storefront and other shops have to live with this sight,
So after this last attempt to resolve the problem not sure if UPS is totally at fault or is store 146 not customer driven to improve the image of UPS.

I am currently having a issue with UPS. UPS collected a double fee for my shipment and it has been over 10 days.
I paid for a delivery prior to the delivery date. The UPS delivery guy delivered my parcel on the 6th of January 2023. He took advantage of my absence during the time of delivery and also played on my landlady's ignorance and made her pay AGAIN for a delivery that has already been paid for.I
I called UPS on the 6th of January 2023 to lay a complaint and the customer service officer who I spoke with PROMISED ME that my landlady's credit card will be credited THAT NIGHT.
After waiting for 10 days, I put a call through to UPS on the 16th of January 2023, I was on the phone for almost 2 hours trying to get this issue resolve. On the 17th of January 2023, I got a call from UPS informing me that the money will be paid back in another ten days and it will be paid by cheque.
In the process of trying to express my displeasure about the mode of payment and the 10 days condition, the customer service supervisor rushed me off the phone.She practically RUSHED ME OFF THE PHONE.
I have had the most horrible and exhausting experience dealing with UPS over this issue. It has been emotionally and mentally draining dealing with UPS as an organisation.
The customer support officers are full of lies an deceit .Their attitude makes one question the value of the organisation they work for.
UPS PAY BACK THE MONEY YOU UNJUSTLY COLLECTED AND PLEASE PAY BACK INTO THE CREDIT CARD.
You have done enough damage already by delaying this payment, delaying it further and paying by cheque will result in further damage.
I am currently having an ongoing issue with UPS regarding a double charge. The customer service supervisor rushed me off the phone just because I disagreed with the form of payment and the days of waiting. She almost cut me off the phone. HOW CAN YOU DEBIT A CREDIT CARD AND YOU WANT TO PAY BY CHEQUE AFTER 21DAYS?
My friend sent me a late Christmas gift on Jan.27th through UPS. USA I got notice on Feb. 2/23 that I would have to pay Cnd. GST pulse brokerage fee plus another GST service fee it said $37.25 which was 2/3 more than what my friend already paid UPS.
I called UPS and the guy said I would only have to pay the GST and he would send me an email saying that which never did come. He said that he would send me the invoice for the GST amount. Yesterday 2/6/23 the UPS driver came to the door with this package and I could not have the package unless I paid him $ 38.25. This morning I called and spoke to Michele, told him what had happened and he put me on hold and checked and came back and said I see where you were to get an email but the invoice has not been made yet.
He said I would have to pay the invoice when it comes. I told him your company already made me pay $ 38.25 yesterday to get the package and you expect me to pay the Gst again? He asked me to hold and left me on hold for 30 minutes, then hung up on me.
I called back to speak with this guy again and was told I could speak with him and talked to a lady who told her the story and she put me on hold and came back and told me I had to prove to them that I paid the driver.. I told her it was not up to me to prove I had paid them it up to them to see the driver had charged me. and she told me again that I had to prove I paid.
These people are liars I will never use them again.
Waited all day and watched for UPS delivery. Package was out at 10AM. At 8:00 PM van pulled up in front of our building driver sat there for 10 minutes then drove away with this online message.
"Customer was not available when UPS attempted delivery. Will deliver to a nearby UPS Access Point™ for customer pick up."
I am disabled and this driver expect me to take 2 buses to get to the pick up place. Never use UPS!!!
What a crap of a company, all I ask for is a phone call sometime on the scheduled day of delivery and the idiot expert only wanted me to call a lawyer. Yet the person from UPS that gave me the 9-5 delivery time did so using a PHONE.
