After spending hundreds of dollars in a particular store, I bought LED candles which were $2 a few weeks ago and are now $4. Got them home one wouldn’t work, went all the way back to be told repeatedly NO RECEIPT NO EXCHANGES NO REFUNDS. The packaging was all there clearly indicating where it was from. Like robots they wouldn’t stop repeating their Mantra. Finally they called Security. All this over cheap tacky candles . Tried writing to. Corporate message bounces back. Won’t be shopping there ever again, not that the care

The correct Address is 75 Kelsey Dr  St. John's, NL A1B 0C7. We wrote you in May of 2025 regarding an assault on a musician by a panhandler siting outside the Kelsey Drive Store every day. On October 6th, one of your employees who works with Kelly Travis (DM), had a local musician arrested for playing guitar outside the store. She apparently claimed he harassed her and all the staff. PURE LIES.This guy has been playing at all the Dollar stores with the full knowledge of Tyler and staff for years. We have family that works there as well and this situation is ridiculous! Why are you targeting this man? Maybe you hate Christians and Jews like all the other attacks you have had on these demographics in Montreal.



Are you aware that this musician is loved by customers, donates part of his money to charities and has never asked for a dime. Apparently this woman who works with Ms. Travis has obviously targeted this guy and done nothing to remove drug addicts or agressive panhandlers. We spoke with the guy several times and about the situation.



The store sent 3 Police cars to arrest one guy simply doing good for the community by playing music. But what are these panhandlers still doing outside your stores? Intimidating customers, pissing on the building, leaving trash around and blankets. Throwing food and water away given by customers. Yes we have taken pictures and have been documenting all of these issues. SHAME ON YOU and SHAME ON THAT WOMAN! Targeting a native Newfoundlander.

Writing to regarding safety issues at Kelsey Drive St. John's. A male Panhandler sitting on ground by door wearing green poncho and at times a blanket, ballcap and slight facial hair. Claims to be homesless but doubtful.



Panhandler assaulted a man May16th between 1:10 and 1:30PM. The panhandler struck a local working musician in the face and spit all over him. People took video and called the police. Police  are investigating went after man but could not find him. The panhandler has not been identified.



The guy playing the guitar has been there and around St. John's for years. I've spoken with him to find out his story and I was surprised at his background. Apparently he's got kids off at school out of the province and they're black. Nicest kinda guy you could meet, he never asks for money, is polite to the older people and has been to my family. I've see people offer him food and he never takes it, letting people know that he is not homeless and doesn't need the food. His name is XXXX (yeah I said that) and from what I've heard.. because ya never realy know peoples stories, he gives away a portion of his money.



Let's people know he's a working musician and is so good with kids. I've seen this guy sing songs with handicapped kids and old ladies dacing to his songs. I also spoke to him and found out some interesting things. LIke this guys served with the military, even with the Queens Guards on Parliment Hill.

Bought gift cards. Some of them would not activate. They refused to refund the money I paid for the cards that would not activate. No response from their online complaint service.

Very poor service at your Galway store in St. John’s nl. I purchased 3 Canada Day shirts in store on may25 girl who served me could not tell me if I could refund or not so I purchased anyway turns out they were to small I needed an exchange. I returned the next day and she told me there is no exchange or refund at your store.turns out she knew today there was no refund. Anyway, very disappointed most other stores with the tags attached, it is not a problem to exchange for right size, to bad your store does not offer the same service. Very disappointed in the store and management there..

I just got home from one of your stores in Brandon Manitoba. The store is at the corner of 18th st and College Ave. The store was very busy, as well as a line up to go through the tills. We have been been getting a lot of rain lately and today was no different. I spent a substantial amount in your store today. I called a cab as I am unable to drive. As I was waiting for the cab it started to pour. I went into the doorway to get out of the rain while I waited for the cab. The same cashier I had took time from a very busy store and a very long line up at the tills to come to tell me I couldn’t stand in there. I told her I was there to keep dry while waiting for my cab. And again was told I couldn’t stay in there. So I stood outside the store in the pouring rain waiting for my cab. I was going to Back in to her and ask for my money back. Unfortunately that was when my cab arrived. I will never step foot in that store and I will let everyone I know what happened and how horribly I was treated by a member of your staff.

Awarding Zero Stars. I was forced to pick 1 star as it will not accept Zero.

1. Staff needs training in customer service. Manger was extremely rude to me after they charge more than what the item was priced for.

2. Ensure you check your receipts before you leave the store as some items in the store are priced less that what is in their system.

3. Dollarama is participating in false advertisement. Item shows $4.00 and cashed for $4.50. I bought several of the same items

I purchased items August 30, 2023 from Dollarama at 3715 Keele Street, upon arriving home I discovered that and was overcharged, I called the store to notify them and was told to bring the items back. I live in Brampton which is not close to the store.



On September 11, 2023 at around 10:45 I brought them back as I was in the area again. The girl who I spoke to initially checked and told me that the system had them entered as $4.50 so it was not the cashier who made the error and that she cannot give me back the difference. I asked to speak to the manager, who came and told me that it is supposed to be $4.00 for the first item and after that each is $4.50. I showed her the bill that all were charged at $4.50 and told her that there was no sign to indicate what was explained to me. Did they honor the item? ABSOLUTELY NOT



Instead the person in charge was extremely rude to me. Telling me I should have been watching the cash register and refuse to issue a refund. I told her that it was advertised at $4.00 and was charged $4.50, so they need to honor that. Again she rudely told me that she cannot give me a refund. Because of her rude tone and body language, I asked to speak to someone higher than her. She told me. rudely "I am in charge". I asked her to give me the head office number, she said " Go look it up online". I asked for her name so that I can say who I spoke to. She told me she will not give you my name as that is my personal information. I said but you are serving the public and I need a name for reference. She rudely told me I will not give you my name, as I said that is my personal information, have a nice day and walked away left me standing at the counter. I told her she was very rude for someone in a supervisor position. She turned and again said have a nice day.



This is not acceptable. The rip me off and in addition was totally disrespectful.

we have a dollarama in bouctouche nb and it's the worst store l've ever been in as far as having good staff.they are ignorant .not all but a few in there dont deserve to work in public.
