I'm purchasing a home and need to get a bank draft for the deposit. I deal with simplii and Cibc. Simplli is own by CIBC but has a different identity. Anyways I went to deposited 200000.00 into my account and then needed to get a bank draft for the same amount. I have well over 2 mil in the Bank between chequing, rrsp, tfsc and gic and investment accounts . All adding up to closer to 3. The Langley Banking Centre Branch would not do this for me. They said the cheque have to clear first even though I have over 10 times that much money in their bank. The girl didn't want to call the manager over but finally did. He couldn't be any less interested in helping. I found this to be unacceptable. Needless to say they would not give me a bank draft even after telling I really need this. I am quit disturb over this. Have that much money in their bank and telling me I have to wait until it's cleared. I have never in my life had this happen to me. If you have more then the cheque you are depositing, there is no chance in hell they even could lose money if saying the cheque was voided out for some reason. I think maybe after this I don't think I need a bank that does this to me. There are other banks and credit unions that treat me so much better. I think someone head should be on the block for this!!
I do agree with all of those peoples. I want to close my Visa from February 24, since CIBC with no reason declined my payment for the internet ,for over 10 years and didn't informed me, after all internet company shut down my internet and have to pay extra money to connect back my internet

After all I was calling CIBC visa so many times and find out that after 25 years they put to the frauds department my visa was blocked , but the funny think CIBC sent me a statement to pay the Yearly member ship of $29.00 and now they charging the interest for that

The frustration and disappointment this bank caused during my sons house closing date is inexcusable. The staff would not send a wire to finalize the bank closing. Resulting them not to be able to close the deal. Due to this failure on CIBC's part a financial penalty was incurred, which they had to pay.
The following day despite providing all the necessary instructions and confirmations the wire was still not sent on time. This delay was due to CIBC's internal error or negligence. The level of incompetence for a everyday, easy transaction was astounding. Wish we were able to take our mortgage business elsewhere.
If I can give this bank a 0 I would the worst customer service at CIBC creditview, they have a selected vision. The financial advisor their K. Zhao, never gets back to you. they accuse you of certain attributes, however they should look at how they treat people. After 40yrs they terminated my services they are the worst...woke bank !

Theresa at cibc bank in Saint John nb on consumer drive is the most unprofessional financial advisor on the planet. Aloes her staff to break rules when it’s convenient for her but when she’s having a bad day then she follows the rules. Very rude ignorant person to be anyway in charge of anyone’s money. One week u can take money out an account next week she’s doesn’t allow cuz she’s in a power trip when the manager is out. Spoke to many people in the area they all have the same problems with here.
